Today, the web master of climbing.de, the most pupular german climbing web site, closed down the discussion groups on his page. He was no longer willing to accept the sustained misuse of some users, that use the discussion groups as their personal virtual battle field. Although it’s really sad to be no longer able to get the useful information sometimes provided there, I can understand his reasons:
- It is his money that people burn when causing unnecessary traffic
- It is his time they waste when he has to control the discussion groups
- It is his responsibility to avoid defamations or insults on others
The quesiton is: how can you avoid such misuse of discussion groups?
